Vietnam

10 days in Vietnam with one of my best friends.
This place is incredible. I can not wait until I get to explore more of South East Asia.
I started my adventure in the largest city of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City.
I spent 2 days in the City alone, and I learnt quickly that the slow get left behind.
This is a very fast paced city
Crossing the streets was one of the biggest challenges for the first few days. Its called crawling, and it's the technique the locals use when crossing these roads
You literally have to walk one step at a time, and look in every direction as the traffic will come from all directions
I was given this tip by one of the locals "Look into the eyes of those on bikes and they will go round you. Stop for cars, they will not stop for you"
After two days in hectic Ho Chi Minh, Tate arrived and we headed to beautiful quiet Phu Quoc.
Phu Quoc is an island which is an hours flight from Ho Chi Minh.
They have beautfiul beaches, night markets, waterfalls, fishing villages and lots of places to snorkel.
I would recommend going here before the end of your trip, to unwind.
Spent 4 days in Phu Quoc, then it was off to the Mekong
The Mekong was not one of my most favourite places, and seeing how we only had limited time, I kinda wish we had of gone to the Floating Markets instead
We spent one night in the Mekong and then headed back to busy Ho Chi Minh.
I flew home 2 days later, and I was so sad to leave
Had an incredible time in this place, and I would recommend it to anyway who isn't afraid of a new experience.

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.”
